Transport yourself to the streets of Paris on a chilly night, ducking into a cozy side street bistro to find comfort in iconic French bistro fare. With our resident French chef instructor, Zoé McLaughlin, we’ll celebrate timeless dishes and traditional techniques.

You’ll begin with a warm goat cheese salad, focusing on balance and contrast—crisp greens, creamy cheese, and a bright, well-seasoned vinaigrette. Next, you’ll prepare steak tartare au couteau, learning the traditional French method of hand-chopping beef with a knife rather than grinding, which creates superior texture and allows precise control over seasoning. Classic French fries round out the savory course, with attention to proper frying technique for a crisp, golden finish. The class concludes with crème brûlée, where you’ll master silky custard and achieve the signature crack of caramelized sugar.
