18 Reasons: Basic Knife Skills

September 28 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
A person slices a red onion in a cooking class. Text reads: Basic Knife Skills, Sept 28, Monday, 6-9 PM, Instructor: Helena Zindel. Several people are at workstations in the background.

Join Chef Helena for a class on the basics of using your chef’s knife at home. We will discuss the ins and outs of knife use, care, honing, and safety. You will walk away more confident in cutting vegetables and herbs with an array of essential skills. Beginners welcome!

This class includes our Knife Skills manual for reference when cooking at home. The vegetables cut in this class will be used to create a delicious salad with flavorful garnishes: fried shallots, minced chili, roasted peanuts, and marinated and roasted tofu. We’ll toast to our sharp skills with a glass of wine, beer, or an NA spritz.
