Gunshots fired Friday night landed in a residence where a birthday party was taking place, police said. The shots were fired on the 2900 block of Harrison Street, across from Garfield Square Park.
Police said a suspect began firing shots at two vehicles parked in front of the house. The vehicles were struck, and began to drive away. The suspect continued to fire but the bullets struck a residence owned by a 68-year-old woman.
Inside, a birthday party was taking place. Police later recovered bullet fragments from the home. No one at the party was hit.
The suspect is between the ages of 15 and 20, approximately 5’8″, wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans. The case is still under investigation.
