In addition to the Brisbane box trees, there are some London plane trees going in. They’re hybrids, related to sycamores, so not native to any place exactly but originating from Spain.
Though the street is still all torn up in places, it’s easier to imagine what the final product will look like.
Anrica is a science reporter and twice Cal grad, with a degree in engineering and a master of journalism. She's a Bay Area native and lives in Oakland.
