A man was struck by a truck and killed yesterday on 13th Street near Folsom.

Police reported that a 47-year-old man was walking northbound on 13th Street at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday when he crossed the street and was hit by a vehicle traveling on Folsom.

Officers arrived at the scene and the victim was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Early Friday, three men and two teenagers were arrested on charges of robbery with force.

The five suspects, who police said were 19, 15, 23, 24, and 26 years of age, were traveling in a green 1995 Mercedes at 1:40 a.m. when they stopped on Bartlett near 22nd Street.

They got out of the car and attacked two victims who were standing outside. They hit a 23-year-old man with a wood cane and assaulted a 22-year-old man.

The suspects snatched the victims’ wallets and a cellphone.

Police saw the vehicle, stopped it, and took the five suspects into custody.

In a separate incident, a 44-year-old man was robbed at 1:50 a.m. on Friday at 24th and Capp streets.

Two men approached the victim and pushed him into a parking lot. The suspects pushed the victim to the ground, stole his wallet and some cash, and fled on foot.
