There are major BART delays between Daly City and Embarcadero stations in all directions as of Thursday afternoon due to an equipment problem at the 24th St. Mission station, according to BART.
The issue stemmed from plastic debris on fire, according to BART’s media voicemail line, last updated at 1:02 p.m. The fire is now extinguished, and BART is inspecting the track to resume service.
Reports of delays were first issued around noon on Thursday when BART riders were stopped at 16th St. Mission station because of an issue at 24th St. Mission station. Muni is running between Daly City and Embarcadero stations.
There is currently no red or green line service. The yellow line is running as normal between Antioch and SFO, and BART has added an additional shuttle between Millbrae and SFO.
