I am a native San Franciscan. Since becoming a photographer I’ve found The City always ready for her close-up, blemishes and all. I love doing shots here— can’t let tourists have all the fun.

The Roxie used to be a strip club back in the 60’s. I went to Mission Dolores Boys School back then and the nuns warned us to walk on the other side of the street.
Haha! No doubt the nuns didn’t want you getting any “hooch-coochie” on your nice clothes.
Called “a near occasion of sun” you’re supposed to stay away. The Victoria was also a Burlesque house back in the day, supposedly the age of Aquarius with the sexual revolution spelled the end of paid sex. Just ask the residents of nearby Capp Street!!
Uhhh, bring back the strip club.
Used to pop into the Roxie just to buy some popcorn, and then head over to the ‘watt to catch a game. Good times… 😇
The Roxie was never a strip club. Porn house – yes. Strip club – never.
Indeed!👍🏿
