A very nice homeless Mexican who spoke no English told me he was snoozing away comfortably under the shade of a tree in Dolores Park when he suddenly woke up hearing gunfire from delincuentes and saw people running around in panic.
He immediately ducked behind the tree that was giving him shade and wasn’t hit, but he clearly remains frightened and traumatized by the experience.
