Zat chou, Herbie?
Straight type 1 beetle. It has reverse lights but no louvers on the rear lid, so I would guess a 1967. Obviously restored, but that was a factory color. The painted wheels against the whitewalls looks sharp.
All bugs are insects but all insects are not bugs. (You could look it up.)
