  1. Ha! One o’ them places where you could meet up and pretend you were mixing with the fun side of the underbelly (an’ maybe you were…); where the owner would sometimes come roaring in and raid the cash register, and then go roaring back out again; where the shifts would grudgingly rub shoulders if they could cram in (and everybody knew everybody else in there anyway); and “it” was such a damn long time ago it didn’t really matter about the shifts. Besides, everything you drank was served there, right? Right. 😉
