This was first produced in 2010 by the very talented Lauren Rosenfeld, and reposting it has become a tradition, because although Covid-19 has changed some aspects of the day, the Jewish tradition on Christmas Day remains the same.

Walking in the streets of the Mission takes Lauren back to the streets of South America. Up until now, she’s known the Mission through its bars and restaurants; now it’s the buzz on Mission Street that attracts her. She loves listening to the Spanish in the streets.

  1. Chinese take out from B&W Chinese restaurant on Geneva. A great addition to the Outer Mission. “Don’t Look Up” on Netflix.

  2. Yank Sing apparently was not doing cart service, so we opted for some warm spicy ramen on a cold rainy christmas day at Hinodeya on Clay at Kearny. Instead of movies, we watched the Carol Burnett marathon.
