Straight outta Modesto, it's Jorge the melon man.

If you’re in the market for melons — lots and lots of melons overwhelming a good-sized pickup truck — then Jorge is your man and 20th and Capp is the place.

Jorge confirms that he transported these melons from deep within California — all the way from Modesto. When asked if he lost any en route, he said no. Not this time. “Sometimes. On the highways.”

Perhaps the bouncy ride has done them well; these are inordinately sweet melons. As for how many he transported and then stacked, precariously, in a truck bed, Jorge is uncertain. “I don’t know. A lot.”

Fair enough.
