For those of you that haven’t had enough of politics yet, the vice-presidential debate is tonight and, though it doesn’t seem to be quite as popular as the first presidential debate was, the Mission is screening it. Here are some spots where you can catch it:

The Phone Booth at 25th and South Van Ness

Luna Rienne Gallery will show the debate in its public parklet and is having a BYO BBQ

The 500 Club at 17th and Guerrero  (happy hour pricing!)

Shotwell’s at 20th and Shotwell – viewers are encouraged to come early to save a space

The Chapel on Valencia near 19th is hosting a debate watch party tonight – “to watch America’s Nice Dad Tim Kaine nicely kick Mike Pence’s bigoted, hypocritical ass” according to organizer Deborah Schneider

The Napper Tandy at 24th and South Van Ness ($2  fish tacos, $5 flatbreads and $5 chicken wings, as well as happy hour from 4-7 p.m.)

  1. And to think Mission Local reporters have no time to write about BART’s 16th Street plaza but Laura has time to tell us where to watch the Veep debate. What is the reason this site is ignoring the many public health improvements at the BART plaza?
