Police report a 64-year-old man was walking near 19th and Mission streets holding some food at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday when two women estimated to be in their early 20s approached him from behind and snatched his food.
The man then chased the women on foot, and the suspects pushed him to the ground and punched and kicked him while he was on the ground. One of the women then brandished a Taser and demanded the man’s wallet. The man complied, and the suspects fled on foot.
The victim suffered injuries on his arm and leg but declined transport to the hospital. No arrest has been made.
At 2 a.m. on Thursday, a 65-year-old man awoke in his home on 21st Street between Valencia and Guerrero streets to find his pants missing from his room. He found them in a front room and noticed an open window with pry marks. The man then noticed that his cash, medication and credit cards were missing as well. No suspect description was available and no arrest has been made.
