Police report a 36-year-old man was eating at a restaurant on Valencia Street near Duncan Street at 3:19 p.m. on Sunday when a 42-year-old man entered and began stabbing him with a knife.
A tipster told SFist that the incident occurred in a Burger King and that other patrons feared for the victim’s life. The suspect fled the scene but was arrested, while his victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Shots Fired in Two Locations
At 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shot spotter activation on Valencia Street between 19th and 20th streets. No victims or suspects were identified at the scene, and no injuries were reported, but officers recovered casings and a handgun at the scene.
Just after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to another shot spotter activation at Kamille Court and Treat Avenue, and again found casings on the scene, as well as some damaged cars. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
Three Robberies
A 30-year-old woman was walking on Mission Street near 14th street at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday when a man came up behind her, pulled her hair, grabbed her purse, and fled on foot. The woman was left uninjured but missing her phone and her wallet containing cash and an ID card. The victim fled on foot and no arrest has been made.
The next day, at 8 p.m., a 37-year-old man was riding his bike on Julian Avenue between 15th and 16th streets when a 25-year-old man stopped him and said he had dropped some money. The man then punched the bicyclist in the face, knocking him off his bike. The robber took the man’s wallet, cash and credit cards from his pocket and fled eastbound on 16th Street. The victim suffered an injury on his cheek but declined medical attention, and no arrest has been made.
The weekend’s third robbery took place at 9:55 p.m. on Monday on Valencia Street between 15th and 16th streets when a man in his early 20s approached a 54-year-old man from the side, shoved him, and took his cell phone. The robber fled on foot and was not arrested.
Burglary
A 45-year-old man living on Shotwell Street between 17th and 18th streets awoke Saturday morning to find that his laptops had been stolen from his home sometime between midnight and 10:30 a.m. No suspects have been identified.
