Police have arrested San Francisco Resident Luis Barrios-Ixolin, 28, in connection with the shooting of Tiara Williamson, a Richmond resident who was was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds in the Mission District in late May.

Officers found Williamson lying on Alabama Street between 18th and 19th streets, having suffered serious gunshot wounds, at 2:54 a.m. on May 30th. Though officers and paramedics rendered aid, Williamson succumbed to her wounds at a local hospital.

A Special Investigations Division and Homicide Detail investigation led police to identify Barrios-Ixolin, who was taken into custody in the Bayview on August 31 and booked into San Francisco County Jail for murder. A booking photo has not yet been released.

Despite having made an arrest, investigators still asked that anyone with information on the case contact SFPD anonymously at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
