Assault

At around 4 p.m. on Saturday, a 38-year-old woman was walking down 23rd Street near Folsom Street when a man in his 40s punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground, where she hit her head on the sidewalk. The man fled, and the woman was transported to the hospital, and is reported to be in stable condition.

Two Robberies

A 33-year-old woman standing on Duboce Avenue between Valencia and Guerrero streets was talking on her cell phone at 8:18 p.m. on Sunday when a teenager estimated to be 16 or 17 years old approached her and forced the phone from her hand. The youth fled on foot, and the woman was uninjured.

Later on Sunday, at 10:15 p.m., a 20-year-old man was sitting on a bus at 14th and Mission streets, looking at his phone, when a man in his early 20s put a handgun against the victim’s chin and demanded his phone. The victim handed his phone to the suspect. A fellow bus rider, a 38-year-old man, tried to get the victim’s phone back but was hit in the eye with the handgun. The robber fled the bus with the phone, and was not arrested. Both victims suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital but reported to be in stable condition.
