A 32-year-old man was stabbed this morning near 16th and Folsom streets, police report. The attack occurred around 3:00 a.m. when the man felt a “sting” to his left side while walking near the intersection and transported himself to the hospital for treatment, where he remains in stable condition. The man was not able to identify a suspect, and no arrests have been made.
Also on Wednesday, an unidentified suspect entered the garage of a residence near 17th and Sanchez streets and stole two bicycles. The burglary happened at 12:30 a.m. while the 40-year-old resident was at home. The victim reported hearing a noise in the garage before looking outside of his window and witnessing the burglar fleeing the scene with the stolen bicycles. Police have not reported an arrest.
A Robbery with a Taser
A 23-year-old woman was almost tased on Tuesday afternoon after confronting a robber at a store on 18th Street between South Van Ness and Capp streets. The suspect, a male estimated to be between the ages of 30 and 35, entered the store at approximately 4:15 p.m. and concealed eight tents in a backpack with the intention of stealing them. As the 23-year-old woman approached the suspect, he tried to use a taser on her before making off on a bicycle with the tents. The woman was not injured, and police have not yet apprehended the suspect.
