A nine-year-old girl was transported to the hospital with a life-threatening head injury after a motorcycle heading northbound on Folsom Street ran through a stop sign and struck her at the intersection of 25th and Folsom streets, police report. The 49-year-old motorcyclist stayed on the scene of the incident, which occurred on Saturday afternoon at 4:22 p.m, and was arrested.

Shooting

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, a man fired multiple rounds from a handgun out of a white sedan moving slowly through the area of 22nd and Bartlett streets. A 28-year-old man suffered an abrasion on his face and a 30-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her thigh. Both were transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition, but the suspect was not arrested.

Assault

Shortly prior to the shooting, at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, two men were leaving a club on Mission Street between 21st and 22nd streets when a fight erupted in a crowd outside. The older man fell unconscious and was bleeding from his ear and had swollen eyes, while the younger man was unable to provide further information as to what happened. The victim was transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. No arrests were made.

Burglary

A group of four residents on 15th Street near Potrero Avenue were at home asleep between 3 and 5 p.m. when one of them woke up and saw that the other’s bicycle was missing. When another resident woke up, the two noticed other items were missing, and upon the return of two more residents, the theft of two laptops, a cell phone, and a messenger bag was discovered. A window and a front gate had been left open.
