Sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a burglar entered the home of a 62-year-old woman near 19th and Lexington streets. The woman awoke unscathed, but discovered that her front door was open and several of her belongings were missing, including her purse, some cash, and her house keys. The woman was unable to provide a description of the burglar, and no arrest has been made.

Also on Wednesday, police reported a fire investigation on the block between 14th Street and Duboce Avenue on Woodward Street at approximately 5:30 a.m. A 41-year-old resident discovered that his blue recycling bin had been destroyed at some point during the night. A witness reported that the man’s bin had been set on fire early in the morning, and that the witness was able to quickly extinguish the fire. However, the witness could not provide a description of the suspect. No arrests have been made.
