A 24-year-old man was punched in the face and robbed of his cell phone on Thursday night near the intersection of 16th and Mission streets. The attack occurred at 11:10 p.m. and the suspect, an unidentified man, was able to flee on foot. No arrests have been made.

A few hours later,  a 29-year-old female was entering her home near 25th and Folsom streets at 2:15 a.m. when she was approached by an unidentified man who grabbed her purse containing her cell phone and passport. The man fled on foot, running south on Folsom Street and then west on 26th Street before getting into a blue Toyota Prius that was waiting on Shotwell Street.  The car then fled south on Shotwell Street, and no arrests have been made.
