A slew of crimes sent four people to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries since Tuesday, three of them last night.
On Tuesday at 11:58 p.m., a 54-year-old man was sleeping on the ground at the Flyers gas station near 26th and South Van Ness when a man of unknown age walked up to the sleeping victim and stabbed him once in the neck. The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and the police have made no arrests.
A 23-year-old man waiting in on a bus stop near 14th and Folsom on Wednesday at 6:20 p.m. when two men in their early 30s approached him. One of the suspects pointed a black handgun with a yellow tip at the victim and demanded his cell phone, which the victim handed over. Both suspects then fled on foot southbound on Folsom. The police have made no arrests.
Bar Fight
A bar brawl turned ugly early Thursday morning when a 30-year-old man was hit in the head with a two by four wooden board. The victim was arguing with people in the bar on Capp Street between 17th and 18th around 1:30 a.m. when a 40-year-old man hit him over the head with the piece of wood. The victim and his friend left the bar, and the victim was transported to the hospital for traumatic brain injury. His condition was non-life-threatening, and the police have made no arrests.
Dangerous Drive Home
Just twenty minutes later at 1:50 a.m., a drive home escalate into a fight when a 21-year-old woman being driven by a man and woman in their 20s got into an argument with the driver and received a beating for it. The driver punched the victim in the face while the man in the passenger side exited the four-door white Chevy sedan and went around to the victim’s car door, closing it from the outside and preventing her escape.
The victim continued to be beaten by the driver until she was able to escape on Valencia Street between 20th and 21st, though how exactly is unknown. She was taken to the hospital for lacerations to her face and eye. The police have made no arrests.
Inaccurate Drive-By Shooting
A drive-by shooting nicked a man in the foot on Thursday morning at 2:22 a.m. The 22-year-old victim was walking on Vermont Street between 24th and 25th when a car occupied by four men in their late 20s drove past him in a 1980s two-door white car. The victim heard shots from the car and was struck in the foot. He then walked into the hospital and was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The police have not made any arrests.
If I recall correctly, the “bar fight” was just two people being thrown out after they had vandalized a car in front of the bar. No one hit anyone with a board.
