Tickets to see the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the Alamo Drafthouse, newly opened on Mission Street, sold out very quickly. But that didn’t stop fans of all ages from streaming through the newly reopened doors, whether they were there to watch the film, just have a drink or simply admire the historic building.
Mission Local caught up with a few visitors on Thursday night, including Han Solo, Leia, and a fair number of Ewoks. Watch here:

Glad we have a new movie palace in the Mission to patronize but I will continue to support our cherished Roxie on 16th. Last night, I saw an excellent documentary, “In Jackson Heights”, at the Little Roxie and there were 25 of us in the audience. Glad to see so many others came out on a wet and cold Sunday night to catch a film at the Roxie!
