Sunflower restaurant, which mysteriously closed its doors last year without notice, is now once again serving inexpensive bowls of noodles for Mission residents.

Mission Mission first reported the restaurant’s re-opening yesterday, though only the restaurant’s 3111 16th St. location was open for business. Its other spot around the corner on Valencia St. was still shuttered and promised only that it would be opening sometime soon.

The Vietnamese restaurant has been a favorite for its cheap but large food options, and a Mission Local contributor said it was one of her favorite places to eat back in 2011.

Employees at the restaurant didn’t know why it had remained closed for so long nor when the Valencia Street location would be opened. We will update when we know more.
