The day begins on Day Street. Photo by Anita O'Brien

Right now it is 61° with a high of 67° – the forecast for the next ten days is here.

Today’s block:  29th to Day, San Jose to Dolores.

It was bright, wind-free, and quiet early this Sunday morning. The only sign of life was a guy delivering newspapers on Dolores. No bike for him–he was driven around and jumped out of the van every few houses to drop a paper at on a doorstep. As I walked I looked for residue from the booming fireworks I heard in the neighborhood all last night, but apparently this block didn’t participate.

With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on and document your block. Don’t wait! Let us know what day and block you would like at info@missionlocal.com.

You can see a map of all of the blocks here. The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.
