This upcoming weekend, June 27-28, marks the 45th anniversary of San Francisco Pride. Of course, the annual parade and party will take place at City Hall, but if you’d like to stay away from a very-crowded downtown, there are plenty of other things to do, especially in the Mission District, leading up and during Pride weekend.

June 26th – 9:30 a.m. Go to the Galeria de la Raza and watch them replace the LGBTQ digital mural that has been vandalized twice already. @ 8 pm. there will be a vigil at the gallery.
June 26th– Trans March: Power Through Visibility at Dolores Park
The Trans March is the biggest trans event during Pride, and this year the theme is power through visibility. Headlining speaker will be from TAJA’s Coalition. The event is from 12-8 p.m. at 18th and Dolores Streets. The party will then move to the El Rio (3158 Mission Street) for the Bustin’ Out 10: Party Against The Prison Industrial Complex. June 26th– Post Giants Game at Kilowatt hosted by Dykes on Bikes
The event will be hosted at Kilowatt (3160 16th Street) by Dykes on Bikes’ San Francisco Chapter for a post-Giants game party to kick off Pride weekend. More information here.
June 26th– HELLA NIKKI- A Special Queer Pride Dance Party at Slate
This Friday, Slate Bar (2925 16th Street) will be hosting a queer dance party before Pride weekend, which will include various DJs and GoGo Dancers. More information here.
June 26th– Get Her Wet 2015 at The Chapel
She Said SF and Party XO joined forces to create the Get Her Wet 2015 Party, hosted at The Chapel (777 Valencia Street). There will be a wet T-shirt contest as well as a handful of celebrity DJs. Join the event here.
June 27th– SF Dyke March at Dolores Park
The annual Dyke March will be happening the Saturday of Pride Weekend, on the corner of 18th and Dolores Streets, right next to the park. There will be a rally beginning at noon, and then the march begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come. Find more information on their Facebook Page.
June 27th– Pink Party- Dolores to Castro
Pink Party begins at Dolores Park around 3 p.m. where those at the Dyke March will travel through the Mission District to Castro for the party. Pink Party is hosted by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a non-profit dedicated to human rights and the right to party. The event will run until 8 p.m. with four stages and musical performances. The event is alcohol and substance-free. More information here.
June 27th– Pink Pleasures Party at Good Vibrations
Good Vibrations will be hosting a Pink Pleasures Party at their 603 Valencia Street location. The event begins at 3 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. This event is free. More information here.
June 27th– Pride Saturday at El Rio hosted by Dykes on Bikes
Dykes on Bikes’ San Francisco Chapter will be hosting a pre-parade party at the El Rio to get ready for Sunday’s festivities. There will be talented bootblacks there to ensure that all leathers look good enough for the following day’s parade. The event is 21+ and there is a sliding scale cover charge. June 28th– Pride Parade on Market Street
The official Pride Parade will begin on Market Street at 10:30 a.m. Free admission.
