The Department of Building Inspection is kicking off its Building Safety Month with an informational session Wednesday, May 6 on fire safety. Employees from the building department and the San Francisco Fire Department will be on-scene to offer training in how you can inspect your own home for fire hazards. Here’s more:
Join DBI and SF Fire Department at a 1-hour brown-bag session to learn how you can conduct an inspection of your property/unit to protect against fire hazards. City staff will discuss the various types of inspections performed, where in the building they take place and what to look for. Fire and housing safety tips will also be provided.
Given the spate of recent Mission District fires, not bad skills to develop.
The event takes place at the San Francisco Public Library main branch at noon on Wednesday, May 6. More details here.
