The Salvation Army Store on Valencia and Cesar Chavez streets was the target of attempted arson last night, police report.
At around 9 p.m., an unknown suspect pushed a couch up against the Salvation Army building and set it on fire before fleeing the scene. No description of the suspect was available. The fire department was able to subdue the fire. No arrests were made.
