UPDATE 11:57 am: Police have arrested and charged two men and one woman in connection with yesterday’s shooting on Treat near 21st Street.

Police said they responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:49p.m. about a shot fired inside a house.  When they arrived on the scene, they found the casing of the shot and confirmed it was from a real gun.

For reasons that are still unclear, the bullet was shot from within the house at  807 Treat Ave. and went through the window. None of the suspects live at the address.  Although no one was injured, there was at least one child in the house, police said. George Moscone Elementary is around the block from where the shooting happened.

Police closed off Treat Avenue at 21st Street because they were looking for one of the suspects. It turned out that he had run to the second floor of the house.  All three suspects were taken into custody.

The suspects, all 21 years old, were arrested and charged with felonies and misdemeanors. The two men were charged for discharging a firearm in a dwelling, felony conspiracy, probation violation of causing trauma to a child, destroying evidence, being in possession of a large capacity magazine and possession of a gun in a school free zone. The woman was charged for felony conspiracy and a misdemeanor of destruction of evidence.

Sometime between 5 p.m. and  6 p.m. tonight, it appears that someone walked by a house on the east side of Treat Avenue near 21st Street and fired shots at the house, according to people at the scene.

At 6: 30 p.m. five patrol cars were in the area and no ambulances.  One family stood on the corner of Treat and 21st in tears but they declined to talk.  Officers were questioning several people.  As onlookers watched, police took one man out of a house on Treat Avenue in handcuffs.

Witnesses were reluctant to talk to a reporter about what they had seen. One said the incident occurred around 5 p.m., but another said it was around 6 p.m.

Officers blocked off 21st Street to traffic and they were not allowing anyone into the house that had been shot at. Two people – it appeared to be a man and a woman – were taken away in a patrol car.

At 6:42 p.m. the Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on the scene, but soon left.  It appeared for a time that police, flashlights in hand,  were looking for someone or something, but just before 7 p.m. most of the patrol cars were leaving the scene.

We will update if we get any more information.
