Ramon Valles, owner of Taqueria La Alteña, one of the 36 businesses affected by the Mission Fire.

Come out this Sunday afternoon to the Make-Out Room to enjoy music, have a snack and (or) a drink and support the fundraising that MEDA will be hosting to benefit the 36 small businesses and 71 employees who were displaced by the Mission fire that struck January 28th on 22nd and Mission.

MEDA has launched a fund for the businesses that were displaced to help them get back on their feet. There will be no cover at the event, but donations are strongly encouraged. 100% of the funds collected at the door and 15% of the bar profits will go to a fund directly supporting the businesses.

So, come on out to dance and enjoy music by Pangea Futbol Club and Adelante Salsa Band.

If you can’t attend the event, but still want to make a donation click here. Here’s a video where you can find out more about one of the displaced businesses, featuring Ramón Valles, owner of La Alteña.

The benefit concert will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 3225 22nd Street (at Mission Street). More details on the event, here
