Apart from the officer-involved shooting that occurred at Mission Station last night, trouble in the past few days appears to have been limited to the ever-popular crime of cell phone robbery.

In the early evening of January 2, a 26-year-old male was riding the bus when he got in a fight with another male of around the same age near Mission and 23rd streets. During the scuffle, the suspect took the 26-year-old’s phone and refused his demands to give it back. The suspect then fled the bus, leaving the victim behind with bruising to his arm.

The next night at 8:12 p.m. three men of unknown age walked past a 35-year-old man on Potrero Avenue, near 25th Street. One of the men kicked the man’s phone out of his hand. The three men then began punching their victim before fleeing together on foot.
