Every time I walk through here I wonder what this mural is about. When I first saw this mural, I was on my way to school. At that time, I wondered who painted it. It also drew my attention because I noticed that it’s related to Mayan culture. Not knowing much about it intrigues me even more.
It’s a dark wall with two people and the moon in the background. A strong image at first sight, but very symbolic upon inspection. Trying to understand the message the mural tries to transmit is one of the reasons I’m so curious about it. This is only one of the many murals that I’ve seen on 24th St and wondered about.
