It’s 40°, heading toward a partly cloudy 57° and we’re 18 days away from a new year! Many of those 18 days will be warm. Check out the next 10 days here.
If you’re looking for family-friendly fun on the cheap tonight, be sure to check out the meteor shower set to streak across the sky at 1 a.m. Some 50 meteors per hour, hurling through space at 26 miles a second, should be visible. The light show is courtesy of Comet 3200 Phaethon in the Gemini constellation.
For those more inclined to enjoy the jocular side of life, be sure to check out some free stand-up comedy at the Sports Basement Bryant Street Store. Hosted by local talent, Anthony Medina, the proceedings will be sure to leave your sides in stitches with a wide array of local comedians. The night starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes free drink and snacks, so be sure to arrive promptly, lest you wind up paying for a meal.
Psych! No need to pay for food. At least not if you make your way over to St. John Episcopal Church tomorrow evening between 6 and 9 p.m. Held once a month, Free Vegetarian Dinner Night is a time for friends and strangers alike to come together over a splendid meal and some fine entertainment provided by volunteers. If you’d like to eat, cook, clean, or provide the night’s entertainment by performing, or brining a movie to watch, then head over to 110 Julian Ave. Perhaps a little Jason is necessary given the date?
Stay classy, San Francisco!
