Two children, ages 1 and 3, were found safe inside a stolen car in the Mission this evening.
The San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at Folsom and 22nd streets, carrying the two children inside, at 6:08 p.m. The vehicle was found abandoned at 6:35 p.m. on the 200 block of Sweeny Street with the children inside, unharmed.
No one is in custody and the investigation remains ongoing.
The parents who left their tiny tots alone in a car are (bleep)s!
This happened in front of my house. The man had gotten out to talk to a friend on the sidewalk when the woman jumped in and started to drive off. He jumped on the hood but was knocked off the hood to the ground. These are hard lessons to learn for the newbies coming to S.F. but you cannot put your guard down for one minute in the big city, crackies are everywhere…but even the druggies know that kidnapping carries a much larger penalty than grand theft auto…so she obviously bailed when she realized she had passengers.
blah, if you saw what happened and can describe the suspect, please contact the police. Last night, several hours after the kids were found, they were ringing doorbells trying to find anyone who had seen the incident.
I walked up after. I talked to the police that were in front of my building, but obviously could not help.
