California lawmakers have rejected a bill that would have allowed bars to stay open and serve drinks until 4 a.m. Sen. Mark Leno of San Francisco had said the bill would create jobs and draw tourists, but it failed to get enough votes.

If you are looking to take a walk in the park, you might want to check out Franklin Square. Curbed SF says the park at the Mission District/Potrero Hill border is great for the neighborhood.

And, in case you didn’t know it, you don’t have to travel far for good food. SF Eater lists the 38 essential restaurants in San Francisco and 15 are in the Mission.
