When Lauren Waters moved to San Francisco in 2003, she discovered that some of her friends walked dogs for a living. The 28-year-old grew up around horses and dogs and has always felt a special connection to animals, so she decided to start Mighty Dog Walking and Services.

Ten years later, Waters is still walking dogs throughout San Francisco. On a recent sunny morning, Waters picked up her “Mission Crew” — some of them dogs she’s been walking for 10 years — and headed out to Corona Heights. “My life is dogs,” she says.
