San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in solving the murder of Alberto Casillas on 13th and Folsom streets in 2007.

On Jan. 7, 2007, Casillas was driving his silver GMC Yukon SUV in the area of 13th and Folsom when he was shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police said the suspects had confronted Casillas earlier that evening at Club Caliente and brandished a firearm during the encounter.

San Francisco Police Homicide Inspector Kevin Jones and Casillas’ mother will be available to answer questions from the media pertaining to the case at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, at the corner of 13th and Folsom.
