A 24-year-old man was the victim of a home invasion near 24th and Hampshire streets at midnight on Friday, police said.

The suspects, two men in their 20s, confronted the victim as he was leaving his house. The suspects took the victim into his home, pistol-whipped him several times and fired a handgun.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital. It’s not known whether items were taken from his home.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

A man between the ages of 25 and 30 approached a 23-year-old woman from behind and robbed her on Valencia and 16th streets at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, police reported.

The suspect saw the woman walking westbound on 16th Street, approached her, and tried to take her purse. The victim turned and saw that the suspect was holding a knife. She grabbed it from him and the two fought. The suspect grabbed the victim by the hair and dragged her across the street to a black SUV with tinted windows and chrome rims.

The victim hit her head on the vehicle, and the suspect fled in the car with the victim’s purse. No arrests have been made.
