Geminid Meteor Shower Tonight

The last meteor shower of the year will happen tonight.

The Geminid shower, which produces up to 50 meteors per hour, will be visible starting around 9 p.m. and peak between midnight and 2 a.m. on Dec. 14.

The 2012 shower is expected to be one of the best of the year because it corresponds with a new moon.
