Paxton Gate, a trinket shop inspired by all things in nature, is turning 20 this year. What began two decades ago as a gardening store has evolved into a shop offering furniture, jewelry and other knickknacks, all inspired by nature and gardening.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, the Valencia Street shop is throwing an anniversary party. The celebration begins at 3 p.m. and will include face painting, an accordionist with accompanying ballerina and stilt walkers. Children and families are welcome. Then, beginning at 8 p.m., adults are welcome to enjoy contortionists, the mysterious musical stylings of “Shovelman” and an open bar of Hendrick’s Gin.
