A new contract negotiated between the city’s Recreation and Park Department and organizers of the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival seems to benefit both parties, according to a report in the San Francisco Examiner. Under the proposed contract, which will go before the Recreation and Park Commission at an upcoming meeting, the festival’s attendance cap was increased from 65,000 per day to 75,000. In exchange, Rec and Park will receive more money in ticket sales and dedicated funds to upgrade parts of the event’s venue in Golden Gate Park.
