Thanksgiving is just around the corner, marking the beginning the season of incessant holiday gift peddling. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some fine art while prematurely stressing out about what to give your reclusive, medieval tapestry-obsessed nephew.

Cue the indie Jingle Bells for ArtZone 461, one of the Mission’s myriad art galleries. It just announced its upcoming partner sale and holiday group show, which will run from Dec. 1, 2012, through Jan. 6, 2013. The opening reception is Saturday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m.

According to a press release, “the artists in this Main Gallery show range from contemporary, abstract, minimalist/color field painters such as Anne Appleby, to figurative works from James Weeks in the 1950s and to Kevin Bean’s 2001 backyard paintings.”

You can stop by the gallery at 461 Valencia St. from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
