Crowded Fire Theater in the Mission District is premiering “The Hundred Flowers Project” by San Francisco playwright Christopher Chen. The play is “about one of the most defining sociopolitical phenomena of the 20th century: Mao Tse Tung and the birth of modern China,” the press release states.
Chen recently won the 2012 Rella Lossy Playwrights Award for “The Hundred Flowers Project.” It runs Oct. 25 through Nov. 17. The award will be presented to Chen following the Oct. 27 showing.
Crowded Fire Theater is located at 1695 18th St., San Francisco.
