It wasn’t supposed to be this easy, but somehow the Giants are one game away from winning the World Series after rolling over the Detroit Tigers in the first three games.

Ryan Vogelsong, the journeyman pitcher who is playing in his first World Series, had another stellar performance in game three Saturday, leading the Giants to a 2-0 win and his third victory of the postseason. Gregor Blanco hit a one-out RBI triple in the second and scored on a Brandon Crawford single to put the Giants up early.

When Sergio Romo struck out Omar Infante for the final out of game three, cheers rose up from Mission Street and at least one firework went off.

Very few bars in the Mission will be empty Sunday night as the Giants send ace Matt Cain to the mound to try to clinch the World Series for his team. The game will begin at 5 p.m.
