Zynga and KaBOOM! teamed up with hundreds of volunteers last Saturday to build the Mission YMCA a new playground. The playground’s design was inspired by feedback from neighborhood children.
The new playground, the first to be built by Zynga and KaBOOM!, was funded by a grant from the gaming company famous for it’s free solitaire app. It’s one of more than 150 playgrounds KaBOOM! will construct across the country in 2012 in an effort to provide children with a place to play within walking distance from their homes.
Play, fun, safety, teamwork, trust. This is how 200 Zynga, KaBoom and YMCA staff and community members worked together to create a playground. It’s all about paying it forward. Investments today in healthy childhoods means a brighter future for us all.
