A woman was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after crashing into several parked cars on Mission and 17th streets.
The driver of a red Volkswagen hatchback was traveling on Mission Street when she hit several cars, including a Toyota SUV parked near 17th Street. It’s unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the car.
An employee of Fabric Outlet, located next to where the accident happened, heard the screeching of tires and the smell of burning rubber.
“I heard that the woman’s car banged several cars parked along the side of the street and that people were trying to break open the window to get the woman out of the car,” Lindsay Gegenberg said.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. Thursday. It’s unclear how badly the driver was injured.
