Remember that mural of a beast outside Galería de la Raza that was tagged over and over again? It’s been replaced by a new one, first reported on Mission Mission. And it’s by the same artist, Spencer Keeton Cunningham. He said he created it for an art show that’s connected to a Japanese organization that’s all for shark conservation.

“The mural is about shark fin soup and is actually a moment from a scene of a film where my friend Erlin [Kool Kid Kreyola] gets de-finned on Market Street,” said Cunningham.

The film, below, is called “Me and My Shark Fin.”
