A teenager identified as Anthony Lacayo has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 9 on Shotwell near 23rd Street. Police said that Lacayo, 19, was arrested on Tuesday.

Ronald Monzon, 40, died after being shot inside a car. At around 7:22 p.m. on March 9, police received multiple calls about shots fired around 23rd and Shotwell streets. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Before the shooting, Monzon’s car had collided with another vehicle, which was unoccupied, police said.

  1. GOD will always justify what is TRUE. Knowone deserves to have thier life taken away by another!! Ron was a good friend, father,brother, uncle. It was a shock to me when I found out that he was MURDERED, not just by that, but I was shocked by the age of his KILLER. DUE ONTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WANT DONE ONTO YOURSELF!!!
