We are mostly recovering from our film festival last night. We had a fabulous turnout — thanks to everyone for their support. We’ll have a video about it up on the site soon.

In other new of yesterday, it looks like Timmy might have his groove back. Giants ace Tim Lincecum pitched eight nice innings yesterday to carry his team over the San Diego Padres, 2-1.

We spotted several cars with windows broken along 18th Street bordering Dolores Park early yesterday morning. This is the second time we’ve heard about this issue, and we will be following up as we investigate further. If you have any tips or photos, send them our way.

And today’s recommendation for a good long Sunday read is “The Self-Made Man” in the Atlantic, by former Mission Local writer Ashwin Seshagiri. It’s about Stephen Elliot, editor of the Rumpus, who’s been a part of projects in the Mission.
