Good news: Mission Mission reports that the Rite Spot, the bar and restaurant at the corner of 17th and Folsom that’s been shut since November, should be open again within a month. I just hope they don’t lose the piano, grumpy waiter and white tablecloths.

Country music star Bonnie Raitt released her first album in seven years yesterday, and along with it her first video. The Bay Citizen reports that it was shot in the old Mission Theater, and if you look closely below, the graffiti and slanted light does look just about right. We’re glad the iconic old theater is being used for something!
